Convergent Home Technologies based in England have produced a new smart home system called “Dianemo“.
[googlead]Designed to control lighting, heating, air conditioning, windows, blinds and shutters as well as look after security, multimedia, computing and communications requirments in the home. The system supports control of bus systems such as EIB / KNX and PLCBus.

Another dynamic feature of Dianemo is that it is connected to, and helps manage and protect your broadband service. It has been designed to be upgraded and enhanced on-line so that it will always have the latest services and features
Dianemo can be tailored to fit your budget and can be expanded in small steps as your needs change. For example, you could choose TV and Audio in a couple of rooms to start with and add lighting, security or climate control at a later date. You control what Dianemo can do for you and your family to complement your lifestyle.”
Security – Security alarm control, Video surveillance with motion detection and instant alerts to mobile devices. Live access to cameras whilst away.
Automation – Control of lighting, heating, air conditioning, blinds, shutters and vehicle access, depending on your needs and requirements.
Multimedia – Record TV on multiple channels simultaneously, pause live TV, store Recordings, Home Video, DVD’s and CD’s in a central media library which is available to the whole family throughout the Home.
Communication & Computing – A full telephone system utilising the latest VOIP technology. Full internet and Email facilities throughout the home. A computer desktop wherever you want!”

Yes Dianemo is based on LinuxMCE (http://www.linuxmce.org)and we work closely with and support the LinuxMCE community, contributing code, support and hardware.
Dianemo has been optimised for professional installation and is built & updated from our servers. For the most part our customers are people who do not want to self-build a system although we do have customers who self-install too.
