EZVIZ is New UK Smarthome System from Hikvision

Hikvision, well know as one of the world’s leading CCTV manufacturers, have turned their attention to the consumer market with the EZVIZ smart home system.

EZVIZ is a range of consumer smart-home security products with the promise of an easy set-up via a smartphone.

The system is accessible from the smartphone itself and the Ezvizlife cloud platform. There are 720p and 1080p camera options available and they support recording and playback from SD card via the app too.

Once alarm hardware is added to the setup, you can integrate the cameras with the security system which will notify you of activations and provide you with video playback of events.

The whole range of Ezviz is IFTTT and Alexa compatible, allowing the Ezviz range to integrate with other IFTTT smart home equipment and work together.

Ezviz has already been launched in the USA and Italy and is now available in the UK. The range consists of

• Smart Surveillance Camera products – for both indoor and outdoor applications – with a multitude of different cameras serving all sorts of different functions.
• Smart Intruder Alarms – with pet friendly PIR Detectors (pets won’t trigger your alarm), Intelligent Open/Close detectors to alarm doors and windows, Smoke detector, Water Leak detector, Internal Siren/Strobe and all operated from a Keyfob or smartphone.

Ezviz have told us they have many additional products in development for release in 2017 including a WIFI Door Bell, Smart Plug, Battery powered Camera and Fingerprint locks.
