    We’ve just learnt that Cytech are doing a special deal on training.  For a limited time, if you buy the Comfort Evaluation Kit they will provide their excellent two-day training course free of charge (excluding accommodation).

    Cytech/Comfort Training Agenda – 21st and 22nd January 2010, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM
    Venue – Touchbase Business Centre, Heathrow Premier Inn (Bath Road), 15 Bath Road Hounslow, Middlesex TW6 2AB

    Refreshments and light lunch will be provided. The cost of the two days is £141 including VAT or USD 200 for non-UK participants or Free with purchase of a EV01 Evaluation Kit from any Distributor.

    Course Content – The Comfort Training course is aimed at new installers of the Comfort system who need to learn how to design, install and program a typical system, and to existing installers who wish to update their knowledge. There will be a substantial amount of hands on exercises and practical work using the training rigs.

    Prerequisites – No specific prerequisites for trainees. System installation experience and programming experience would be beneficial.

    Equipment Provided – Training Rigs will be assigned, 1 for every 2 to 3 participants. Each Training rig consists of

    • CM9000 Comfort Controller with Transformer
    • LEM01-M2 Local Expansion Modul
    • KP04 LCD Keypad
    • DP03 Door Station with RGR04 Ringer
    • UCM05 Universal Communications Module
    • SEM01-M2 Slave Expansion Module
    • UCM/GSM2

    The training rigs have multiple mounting positions to allow other modules to be added easlily.

    Participants to Bring Along

    • Laptop/Notebook – needed for programming exercises
    • Basic tools – screwdriver, wire cutters/ strippers, multimeter if possible

    Training Goals

    • To learn about Comfort, its benefits & features, capabilities
    • To be able to configure and design a Comfort System – modules, options, architecture.
    • To learn to install, connect Comfort and peripherals.
    • To be able to program Comfort using the new Comfigurator 3
    • To lean how to integrate Comfort with KNX
    • To learn to test and commission a Comfort system with KNX

    Part 1 Product Training
    1st day before lunch

    • Introduction to Comfort – 5 miniute video
    • Introduction to Cytech
    • Demo
    • Key features
    • External Interfaces
    • Design and Configuration

    Part II Technical Training
    1st day after lunch – 2nd day lunch

    • Comfort Connections and wiring, settings
    • Comfigurator programming – Introduction to new generation Comfigurator 3
    • Firmware Upgrading (bring your Comfort.II, UCMs, SEMs which require upgrading)
    • KT03 with Comfort
    • Testing and Commissioning tips, common problems, tools, resources

    Part III – Hands On Exercise
    2nd day after lunch

    • Practical programming exercise with Comfort 3 – 4 hours
