    Table of Contents

The HRGZ1 HomeRemote Wireless Home Automation Gateway from Hawking Technology is a great example of the power and simplicity of Z-Wave products.

[googlead]It’s also the type of system our lucky US cousins have access to right now, whilst the UK is still waiting for any meaningful range of Z-Wave products.  So, if you’re in the US rejoice! and if you’re in the UK, read on and weep.

“The HomeRemote Gateway is a portal between the internet and your home that enables you to control your lighting and appliances and view live video from your cell phone or an internet web browser.  The Gateway connects to your home broadband network (router) and acts as the central management system for your home or office.  You can schedule your lights to turn on and off at a specific time, setup evetnt alerts to your cell phone or Email or control an entire group of devices with the touch of a single button (Scenes) all from the Gateway’s user-friendly interface.  When you press a button, for example “Living Room Lights ON” on your HomeRemote cell phone or web browser interface, the HomeRemote Gateway uses the instantly recieves your command via the internet and sends a wireless signal to the living room light module and tells the device to turn on.
