Our UKHA community mailing list has had a lot of Mac messages since the Apple keynote that announced the Mac mini. For a lot of PC users (myself included) this is the first time we’ve actually considered buying a Mac. On that information alone Apple should be pleased.

In a happy coincidence V3.0 of James Sentmans Home Automation X10 Web Interface product – X2Web – has just been released. “X2Web 3.0 brings web control for your XTension Controlled home to Mac OSX. included in the package is a default interface that you can get up and running in a matter of minutes. You can also highly customize these pages (which are basically HTML with embedded Apple Script) to control any other remote controllable device. Simple unit lists can be made available for remote control and monitoring of your lights or other XTension units.

X2Web 3.0 is now available! Shareware cost is USD $40. X2Web 3 requires OSX 10.2 or better and XTension.”
