Marmitek have just released their latest remote control and as the name suggests, the X10 Easy Icon 10RF will appeal to home automators with X10 setups.

Just got it, first impression…. HUGE… seems one of those remote for old people or kids… i read a review somewhere about it… but i thought was the usual complainer or exaggerator… but instead is simply the reality 🙂
2 months with the remote and i can provide some feedback:
– easy to set up initial use, like set all the remotes and turn on tv less than 3 min as advertise in the marmitek website
– not so user friendly to add macro and adventurous settings every mistake mean delete the macro and set it again there is not delete action only delete macro…
– screen very bright ( is brighter than my android phone)
– the x10 receiver i use is a CM15Pro and apart from some problem with the x10 interference seems working fine (if you are planning an x10 set-up get plenty of filters).
