I’ve just received this from Concept Devices – PCBlastIR will be available for shipping from 1st January 2002 priced at £59/. Our 2-way learning remote can be used to replay IR commands or control your PC using your IR Remote handset.
The device works great under NT/2K/XP and requires a spare serial port. Support from Homeseer and Showshifter is promised, and a developers pack will be available in 1st quarter 2002. This will be compatible with the existing PCRemote dev-kit. Currently serial ports com 1-8 are supported with the next version supporting plug-n-play ports as well as USB adapters.”
