Well, here’s an update that I never thought would come.
I’ve decided to call a “time out” on our smart home and will be reverting to a “dumb home” for a while.
The reason I’ve made this decision was quite unexpected. But with a toddler at home and another baby on the way, I want to put my wife’s health and my children’s health above convenience and comfort.
There seems to be quite a large body of scientific and medical research that suggests that RF-EMF exposure, including from wifi and smart devices, may be very dangerous to our long-term health.
This is especially true for babies, infants and pregnant women.
I’m going to continue to remain engaged in the space, the forums will remain online and email subscribers will continue to receive all the latest updates, news and developments in the smart home space.
The only thing that’s changing is that, at least for a while, I’m going to be a lot more mindful about what tech or devices I bring into our home, under what conditions and for how long.
