Useful Gadget of the Week: Tomons Swing Arm Desk Lamp

    Table of Contents

Bit of a change of from the norm this week, and in danger of entering the world of interior design!

The guys from Inateck sent us one of their new Tomons DL1001 adjustable lamps to take a look.

The unit arrived folded up into quite a neat box and required some minor assembly, 3 wing nuts to do up so Ikea level one badge will suffice here.

There are a 3 colours available, we went with the white option. The shade and base are metal and a decent weight making it nice and stable on the desk.

Inateck say the lamp features simple, sleek “Scandinavian” design and the wood and metal combo certainly look good together,

Unlike a spring balance lamp you’ll need to slacken the wing nuts to adjust this one to the position of your liking with its 3 adjustable joints.

There’s a nice black and white braided cable with in-line switch. Of course we’re not into that so added the lamp to our home control system with a SmartThings module 🙂

The unit comes without a bulb so we ordered these E27 screw-in ones. Although it has a warm vintage Edison filament look it’s actually a 4 watt LED (the lamp takes a maximum of a 40 watt bulb) and it completes the look perfectly.
