Evohome controller not showing any current zone temperatures, and no heating.

I've had Evohome for several years and had no problems, nor have I made any changes to the configuration for at least a year. All of a sudden, no actual zone temperatures are showing on the conroller, just an "egg timer" in every case. If I press the button on the BD91, the boiler fires and any radiator needing it starts to heat up. All the HR92 valves are showing a flashing exclamation mark in the top left hand corner of their screen next to the radio communication display symbol.

I have tried resetting the controller by removing and then replacing the batteries, but no change. My guess is that the wireless communication part of the controller which talks to the HR92s and BD91 has failed. the Evohome app seems to report the same data - the set temperatures for each zone, but not the actual temperatures. The hot water doesn't use Evohome and still seems to work as does the boiler. Unfortunately, I did not install the system, so my knowledge is very limited.

    Any suggestions?

How long has it been going for? I seem to remember something similar and I left it a couple of hours and it gradually came back.

Thanks for the advice. 2 or 3 zone temperatures reappeared after several hours, so it was clear there was not a general hardware issue with the wireless communications on the controller. I tried another reset and removed the controller batteries for about 15 minutes this time, and when the controller restarted, the zone temperatures started to reappear, although it took several hours before all of them were back. The slowest to reset was the BD91 which showed a flashing red light for about 3 hours.

The key part of the solution seems to be making sure that the reset period is long enough. I still do not understand why this problem happened. The only thing I can think of that changed was that at one point I temporarily moved a smart plug (Meross brand) to an electrical socket that happened to be right next to an HR92 radiator valve. I think both devices use the 868 MHz ISM band, but whether that somehow affected the distant Evohome controller I have no idea.

I have seen devices with low batteries jamming all reception. Any batteries needing changed?

Had to change one pair of AA batteries in a DT92, but can't recall whether there was a low battery warning for it in the fault log at the time.
