I have got into buying up "broken" HR92s and repairing them, gradually replacing my fleet of HR80s.
I did quite well this week where I bought a pair of 'working' ones, but the seller found one didn't work so he gave me a 50% refund.. When I got it, the ribbon cable was split, so I replaced it with a spare screen (although I have got pretty good at repairing the ribbons now).
I thought I had done well, but shortly after a power up it gives an E1 error.
According to Honeywell it means "sensor fault" which isn't particularly helpful.. Does anyone know what it actually means? And whether it could be repaired? Could it literally be the thermistor? I have a bunch of faulty boards so could easily swap over a component and I might do that, but just wondered if anyone else had successfully repaired an E1 fault.
Any ideas?
