3D printing is fascinating and I’ve been lucky enough to have some plastic parts printed by a CEO friends half-million pound machine.
I follow Formula 1 closely where the 3D printing of metal components has become common-place, using these fast prototyping machines to create actual working parts.
Now 3D printing has gone even further. Apis Cor has created a machine that can reach out across a building site and print walls. In fact they can print an entire house.
So will there be a time when these technologies merge and we’re are able to print the metal wiring in the walls and the polymer furniture in the rooms as the house emerges from the ground slice by slice? Interesting times.
