There’s new ‘intelligent’ indoor IP CCTV camera from Nest.
Although the 8-megapixel HDR wide angle (130°) camera is rated as 4K, it zooms in (12x digital) to provide up to 1080pat 30 frames/sec.
There’s an infrared LEDs with IR cut filter, built in speaker and a 3 microphone array. Nest promised great wireless connectivity too with its 802.11ac Wi-Fi and a 2×2 MIMO chip.
Some of the smarter features require a subscription to the Nest Aware service which starts at $10 per month.
Person alerts. Supersight. HD Talk and Listen. Nest Cam IQ is a best-in-class indoor security camera with top-of-its-class brains. Get an alert when Nest Cam IQ spots a person. Open the Nest app to follow them as they walk across the room, then grab their attention with the built-in speaker and mic. It’s a sharper way to look after home.
