    Table of Contents

The guys at Vesternet have just added a Z-Wave controllable lock to their online catalogue.  They say this is the first EU Z-Wave lock that has passed their internal testing and it’s fully compatible with other Z-Wave devices.  The lock can be fitted to most standard doors and should be in stock in around 10 days time.  Vesternet are accepting pre-orders now for the £197 system.

“The Z-Wave Vision Deadbolt Door Lock is a radio frequency remote control electronic deadbolt with water proof design, easy to install and operate. It fits most standard European doors, no need to drill additional holes.  The mechanics can be adopted to right or left opening doors. It can be applied for doors from a thickness of 38mm and up.

User friendly for elder and young children, remote with simple icon lock and unlock, or choose manual locking, and remote can be used from indoor. The keypad buttons glow in the dark for night time visibility.  Easily and quickly add and delete user codes right at the keypad, so it is convenient to provide a user code for temporary access.

My understanding is that insurance companies in the UK require locks to conform to BS3621, does this comply?

Does anyone know if this deadbolt or any other works with HC2 and comply with BS3621?

It would be great to do a test of this deadbolt on your website.

      Hi,

Currently this lock is not supported in the Fibaro HC2. However, we expect there to be a major update available shortly which will include new product support in the HC2.

When this is available I’ll add a comment here.

      Mark.

      Hi,

Please excuse me if this is a stupid question, but do you know if this will work with UK UPVC doors?

      Thanks,

      Siobhan.
